In order to satisfy the growing demand of the international community for Chinese language teachers and facilitate Chinese language education in other countries, the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) will continue with the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship programme with a view to encourage future and current Chinese language teachers recommended by Confucius Institutes from all over the world to study or do research in Chinese language.
If you would like to spend some time studying in China, then CLEC Scholarships offer you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Chinese culture and witness China’s rapid economic growth, first hand and are a fantastic way to fund your studies. There are various types of scholarships available: you can study for a semester, a full academic year, or even do a master or PhD degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.

We help current students at the Athens Business Confucius Institute in their applications for the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship program offered by the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) upon request.

Athens Business Confucius Institute Online Web Conference "10 Years Athens Business Confucius Institute: Τhe future of a prosperous collaboration" June 30, 2021
On June 30, 2021 the Business Confucius Institute in partnership with the Athens University of Economics and Business and under the auspices of the Chamber of the Greek-Chinese Economic Cooperation will hold the online web conference “10 Years Athens Business Confucius Institute: the future of a prosperous collaboration”.
The conference will be fully broadcasted online in English and is open to everyone interested in the work of the Business Confucius Institute and the promotion of business opportunities and collaboration between Greece and China.
The 20th Chinese Bridge Competition in Greece Chinese Speech Contest for College Students
The “Chinese Bridge” Contest is a large-scale global contest held annually. It aims to provide students an opportunity to show their proficiency in the Chinese language and learn from one another in order to enhance their understanding of the Chinese language and culture.

The Winners of the Athens Business Confucius Institute Excellence Scholarship 2021-2022 are announced | Full scholarships from the Confucius Institute of Athens
The Confucius Institute of Athens announces the names of the winners of the annual Excellence Scholarships 2021-2022, sponsored by the Institute, to support, encourage, and praise the learners’ efforts to learn and to promote and support Chinese language learning in Greece.
The full-tuition scholarship recipients are:
Elisavet Kopalidou, Charalampia Agi, Sofia Trousa, Rayane-Vasiliki Taprantzi, Panagiota Doufexi, Eleni Katalagarianou and Matthaios Kapetanios
The Full Annual Tuition Waiver Scholarships cover the full tuition fees on any Chinese language learning course at the Business Confucius Institute of Athens for the 2022-2023 academic year. Under the Scholarship Rules, a scholarship for outstanding academic achievement is awarded to students who achieved excellent academic results in the current academic year of study. The scholarship for outstanding academic achievement is awarded in each programme of study to 10% of students who have the best academic results. The number of students representing the 10% is rounded up to the nearest integer.
THE HSK EXAMINATION EXCELLENCE GRANT PROGRAM BY ATHENS BUSINESS CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE
The HSK Excellence Grant Award, introduced and funded by the Athens Business Confucius Institute, is in recognition of the individuals who earned the highest scores (100% success rate in HSK 1 and HSK 2 and above 90% success rate in HSK 3, 4, 5 and 6) of all the candidates who wrote the exam and equals to the cost of the HSK examination fees paid at registration.
In particular, the HSK participants who achieve the following overall scores will be awarded with a Gift Voucher which enables them to claim a tuition fee deduction at the time of the registration in the next academic year-long Chinese language courses:

NEW ΙNTENSIVE CHINESE LANGUAGE COURSES for Adult Beginners (4 Months)
Registration for the intensive courses:
December 10, 2022 – January 30, 2023
The Business Confucius Institute of Athens introduces new intensive, short-term Chinese language courses for 4 months (3 days/week, 3 hours/lesson).
The new intensive short courses cover two HSK levels in 4 months (HSK 1 + HSK2)!
The courses will start on February 1, 2023 and end on June 2, 2023. The programs include 140 in-class hours and upon successful completion of the courses, students will be eligible to participate in the HSK Written Examination Level 2 on June 11, 2023 at the Athens Business the Confucius Institute for FREE.*
* Upon completion, the students from the intensive courses will be eligible to participate FREE of charge in the HSK international written exams for the Chinese Language at level HSK 1 or HSK 2 (whichever they choose) that will be organized at the Business Confucius Institute of Athens on June 11, 2023. The Athens Business Confucius Institute will cover the cost of the participation for the HSK 1 or HSK 2 exam level as long as the absences limit has not been exceeded (up to 15% of the total teaching hours) at the completion of the intensive program. The free participation only applies to the specific exam date at the Athens Business Confucius Institute, for once and for one level of examination and cannot be exchanged or transferred to another date.
